OK users we have bad weather that is causing power problems all over the country.

SO......

Calling IT support to complain about all your PCs switching off every few minutes might have something to-do with the power problems.
Do the lights in the office go off as well? "Yes they do, do you think it's the same problem?" SIGH…..

“Our internet correction is down!” Restart the router it probably got upset by a brown-out.
“Also our email isn’t working?” That goes via the internet to, so that the same problem.
“Does it?” SIGH……

“Our backup tape didn’t eject last night!” Yes that’s because the backup didn’t run due to the power being off for 7 hours.
“Oh does our backup not run if the server is off??”  1…2…3…4…. WOOSA.
